Objectives:

  •  To create an awareness of the various developmental domains and factors influencing growth and development during foundational years.
  • To introduce the historic overview of educators and approaches/ curriculum models in early childhood education.
  •  To have an understanding of the role of environment in child’s learning and behaviour including schedules, materials, arrangement of learning activities indoor and outdoor, and centre-based learning and Holistic Child Development as prescribed by NCF 2022 and its implementations.
  •  To develop competencies to select and use appropriate assessment strategies for facilitating learning.
  •  To identify appropriate interventions to meet the requirements of an inclusive classroom.
  • To have in-service construct knowledge about the mental health and related professional skills.
