DR. KAMINI REGE
Prof Dr Kamini Prakash Rege is holding the position of an Associate Professor, in the Department of Human Development, at College of Home Science Nirmala Niketan, Affiliated to University of Mumbai, India.
She is the Founder member and Joint Secretary – National Committee.
Early Childhood Association (ECA) and Association for Preparatory Education and Research (APER)- India.
She has been teaching at the Graduate and Post-Graduate levels over last 25 years and is a recognised Ph.D. guide at the University of Mumbai (Home Science). Expertise in the specialization of Human Development and Early Childhood Care and Education she has contributed wealth of her valuable knowledge and proficiency to various institutions and organizations as academician, consultant and researcher.
She is a consultant to several institutes and organizations associated with teacher training and education and deeply involved in the development of policy, programme and planning activities for young children. Having to her credit, several Research Papers, posters and over 200 Publications at the State, National and International level, also have had an opportunity to guide and help students publish several research at Third Year, Masters and Doctoral students in the area of Early Childhood Education, Parenting, Home-School Partnership, Marriage and Family Relations, Women Entrepreneurship, Multiculturalism, Innovative Teaching Techniques, Family Studies, Gender Issues etc. She has enhanced and encouraged research culture in her institute and college through Avishkar and AARAYA competitions.
She has an immense aptitude for innovations and has developed novel techniques for introducing curriculum, such as creative expression through role play, anecdotes, critically evaluating and sharing records, videos and films, demonstrations, workshops and hands on experience with several target groups, such as, administrators, supervisors, teachers, children, adolescence, parents, graduate and post graduate students.
Associated herself and holds prestigious position as well as a member of multiple organisations, such as ECA (Early Childhood Association)and APER (Association for Preparatory Education & Research)- India, designated as the Joint Secretary – India) AECED (Association for Early Childhood Education and Development) HSAI (Home Science Association of India); Bal Shikshan Parishad; ARAHE (Asian Regional Association for Home Economics), Early Childhood Association – India; International Play association. (IPA), Indian Scientist Association (ISA) etc.
It is noteworthy, that throughout her career she has been awarded with many accolades. Significant, among these are the “Exemplary Contribution in the Field of Early Childhood Education” awarded by Early Childhood Association in February 2019. She also has been awarded “Rashtriya Vibhushan Award” for Outstanding Individual Achievement and Distinguished Services to the Nation in 2014,”Shiksha Rattan Puraskar” For Outstanding Performance and Remarkable Role in Education /Knowledge Industry in 2012.
